Most of you are probably aware about the terrible floods that devastated the Balkans this spring. Thousands of people were made homeless and there was widespread destruction of homes, cities, farms and lives. There is a tremendous need for ongoing assistance, and to this end St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church (Issaquah) and the Seattle Balkan Dancers are co-sponsoring a humanitarian benefit dance on Friday, August 8th at the Russian Community Center from 7:30 to 11 pm.

Local bands Balkanarama, Kafana Republik, Zakuska, Orkestar RTW, Družba, Kaba Seattle, and the Alexander Eppler Bulgarian Folk Music Group are donating their time to play music for this event. The Russian Community Center is donating their usual hall rental. All proceeds from this event will be going to the Humanitarian Relief Fund of St. Sava Church and will be forwarded through the church organization to help relieve the Serbian people who have suffered from this disaster.
