Ronald D. LeBlanc, Professor of Russian and Humanities at the University of New Hampshire and Center Associate at the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies at Harvard University, is currently completing an annotated translation of Boris Pilnyak’s Miaso: Roman (1936).  In his research talk, Professor LeBlanc will speak about attempts by Food Commissar Anastas Mikoyan to recruit artists to propagandize the achievements of the Soviet meat industry in Stalinist Russia during the Great Terror.
