Ogólny opis: 

Polish 404 is the first class in a three-quarter sequence of second year (intermediate) Polish. Students should be familiar with material covered in Polish 401-403. After the whole year's sequence students should be able to successfully handle uncomplicated communicative tasks and social situations: initiate, sustain, and close a general conversation, read simple connected texts, write short simple letters, postcards, diary entries, etc. The goal is to move from Novice Mid/High to Intermediate Mid/High level on the ACTFL Proficiency Scale.

                                                 future, life in the city   

Słownictwo funkcjonalne:    expression of positive and negative emotions, plans, comparisons, convictions,

                                                suppositions, conditions, wishes

Gramatyka:                           male personal plural, aspect of the verb, future tenses, comparisons of adjectives and adverbs,

                                               numerals

Catalog Description:
Reinforces basic grasp of the language and enlarges vocabulary and command of grammatical patterns beyond the sentence level. Pays special attention to oral communication, listening comprehension, and writing. Helps enable students to move from Novice High to Intermediate Mid/High-level on the ACTFL Proficiency Scale. First in a sequence of three. Prerequisite: minimum grade of 2.0 in POLSH 403. Offered: A.
