The UW Career Center is a great resource for graduate students. They offer everything from workshops on CVs and cover letters to professionally appointed private rooms for Skype interviews. Two collections of resources are particularly useful for graduate students:

  • Beyond Academia -- Handouts and information about making the transition to a non-academic or alt-ac career

Health and Wellness

on-Campus resources

UW Counseling Center   UW based counseling center offering free and confidential, individual, relationship, and group counseling.  Same day crisis appointments available.  Light Therapy for Season Affective Disorder.  Career Counseling.  Located in Schmitz Hall
Hall Health.   Hall Health Center is an outpatient clinic that provides health care to University of Washington students, alumni, faculty, and staff as well as the general community.
Health and Wellness.  Programs include: Alcohol and Other Drug Consultation and Education, Suicide Intervention, Sexual Assault, Relationship Violence, Stalking and Harrassment Advocacy.  Located in Elm Hall
Mental Health Clinic.   Hall Health’s Mental Health Clinic provides a high-quality, evidence-based care to UW students, including individual and group counseling and medication evaluation and management. As a student, you are eligible for no-cost drop-in appointments for mental health referrals, as well as light therapy for seasonal affective disorder.  Located in Hall Health
Disability Resources for Students.  DRS is dedicated to ensuring access and inclusion for all students with disabilities on the Seattle campus enrolled in our undergraduate, graduate, professional, Evening Degree and Access programs for over 39 years.  Located in Mary Gates Hall
