The Seagull Project Ensemble will be performing a staged reading of the play Sweet Lika at ACT in downtown Seattle on Tuesday, June 6th. Sweet Lika is a two-act play based on the correspondence between Anton Chekhov and Lidia (“Lika”) Mizinova. The author of the play , Serge Gregory says "I’ve been collaborating with a dramaturge for over a year to transform their exchange of letters into a piece that works as theater, and I hope that the play will give audiences a sense of Chekhov as a person (and reluctant lover) that they might not have previously been aware of."
