On June 1 and 2, Eugene Lemcio (Лемцьо), Emeritus Professor of New Testament at Seattle Pacific University and Co-Founder of the UW Ukrainian Endowment, participated in a workshop organized by the UW’s International Policy Institute in the Jackson School of International Studies and co-sponsored by the Carnegie Corporation of New York. Its aim was to begin instructing foreign policy practitioners from the State Department in Washington, DC about the interface between religion and politics in the regions where they would serve. Gene was invited to address the twenty or so participants about the situation in Ukraine, the most religiously-diverse country in Europe.
