On Tuesday morning, former and present students of Polish gathered at the Simpson Center to sing Polish carols. Maria Grabowska and Tom Dziekonski provided beautiful piano and violin accompaniment. Between singing carols, we had a presentation about Polish Christmas traditions, we enjoyed making Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer out of candy canes and champagne corks (!) , and savored makowiec (poppyseed cake), pecan cookies, and pierniki (gingerbread). Happy Holidays!
