Otilia Baraboi and Ileana Marin Awarded Order of Merit in Education by Romanian President Klaus Iohannis!

Our lecturers of Romanian, Otilia Baraboi and Ileana Marin, have recently been awarded the Order of Merit in Education at the Rank of Cavalier by Romanian President Klaus Iohannis!  This honor was bestowed upon them for their activity promoting Romanian language and culture, and was awarded as part of a series of distinctions given on the National Day of Romania, December 1, 2019.  In addition to co-founding ARCS and building educational programs for the Romanian community in the Seattle area, Ileana and Otilia have also created a course exploring the art, literature, and film of Romania, which they teach every year at the University of Washington.  Congratulations Ileana and Otilia!
