Congratulations to alumna Emily Schuckman who was just hired for a tenure-track position in European Studies at San Diego State University! Professor José Alaniz says he was honored to advise Emily on her dissertation (awarded spring 2008) and that “SDSU picked the right person for the job. Emily’s research interests in the literature, cinema and sociology of sex trafficking go beyond Russia; she’ll be able to properly explore those passions in a European Studies program. Her students will benefit from her expertise, enthusiastic teaching and sensitivity to their learning needs.”
