The department is proud to announce that two articles by Dr. José Alaniz were published during summer 2013. His article entitled "[Post-] Soviet Zone of Dystopia: Voronovich/Tkalenko’s Sterva" appears in issue 57(2) of the Slavic & East European Journal, and his article "History in Czech Comics: Lucie Lomová’s Divoši” appears in Volume 15 of Ulbandus, the Slavic Review of Columbia University. This second article should get you excited for his forthcoming book on Comics and History in the Czech Lands.
