Congratulations to Jake Hansen, a department undergrad major. He recently received news that his translation of "The Bus" (Rus: Автобус) written by contemporary prose writer Olga Isayeva was accepted for publication by The Birch (an undergraduate Slavic & Eastern European Studies journal put out by Columbia University). Prior to this, Isayeva's work has never been published in English translation. Hats off to Jake!
