Dawid Junke is an Assistant Professor and the Head of the “Culture and Media” Graduate Program at the Institute of Cultural Studies, University of Wrocław (Poland). He teaches courses on history and theory of film and media.
Dr. Junke focuses his research primarily on popular film and television, and is especially interested in cultural and philosophical interpretations of television shows. One of the recent results of this fascination is a monograph entitled Transcendence and Secularization. Religious Motifs in Contemporary American Television Shows, published by Libron Publishing House. He has also published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and collected volumes.
