At the last faculty meeting of the year, faculty and staff honored outgoing Chair Galya Diment for her 12 years of service to the department. Galya said that it “had been a real honor and privilege to serve as chair of such a wonderful department, and that she is looking forward to doing more teaching and having more time for research.” The new Chair, Katarzyna Dziwirek, will be assuming her duties effective July 1, 2012.
