Assistant Professor Dr. Sasha Senderovich has recently received a prestigious fellowship at the Frankel Institute for Advanced Judaic Studies at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. Bringing together scholars from around the world to conduct research in relation to a given theme, the 2020-21 Frankel Institute fellows will focus on the theme of “Translating Jewish Cultures” and will explore the theme of translation across a wide range of time periods and geographic locations. During the fellowship, Dr. Senderovich will conduct research on his new project, “Translating the ‘Soviet Jew’ Between Russia and America."
